INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – USRowing's
Junior Men's National Team Head Coach Evans Liolin has invited 59 athletes
to attend the 2004 Junior Men’s National Team Selection Camp this summer
from June 14-July 12.
The athletes will be competing for spots on the junior men's national team,
which will travel to the 2004 FISA Junior World Championships July
27-August 1 in Banyoles, Spain.
Seven athletes return from last year’s junior national team including
Charles Cole and Quinn Sivage from the silver medal-winning junior men’s
eight. Glenn Ochal raced in the men’s double sculls at last year’s junior
world championships, while Bryan Geist, Matt King, Solon Wayne-Aposhian,
and Max Wyatt return from the men's four with coxswain. In addition, Jared
Altermink, Chris Carey, Mark Crocker, Pat Dewechter, Thad DuPrey, Anthony
Emmett, Chris Hearne, Pat Hurley, Sean Hurley, Jesse Johnson, Carlos
Montoya, Henrik Rummel, Kevin Song, Tom Goldner, and Dave Cleveland return
to selection camp.
USRowing is the non-profit membership organization recognized by the United
States Olympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport of
rowing in the U.S. USRowing’s Official Patrons are Concept2 and Polaroid;
