INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--Twenty-five student-athletes earned 2004-05 USRowing Scholastic Honor Roll honors and 28 student-athletes earned honorable mention scholastic honor roll accolades, USRowing announced Thursday.

The USRowing Scholastic Honor Roll recognizes high school seniors who have excelled in both academics and rowing. Applicants must be USRowing members, have rowed or coxed at least one year, and successfully competed at or above the league or regional level. This is the 14th year of this award.

The USRowing Youth Committee selected the winners based on a numerical ranking of their grades in academic solids, ACT or SAT scores, and class rank. One hundred and eight outstanding student-athletes from around the country applied for the 2004-05 USRowing Scholastic Honor Roll. The list includes four valedictorians, one perfect score on the SAT, and several junior national team members.

USRowing is a nonprofit organization recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States.
