USRowing’s Junior
Women's National Team Head Coach Steve Hargis has invited 22 high school women to attend
the “Junior A” National Team Development Camp and 19 high school women to attend
the “Junior B” National Team Development Camp this summer.
The development camps will be
held June 18-July 24 at the United States Coast Guard Academy on the Thames River in New
London, Conn. All athletes will race in early July at the Independence Day Regatta in
Philadelphia, Pa., and in late July at the USRowing National Championships in
Indianapolis, Ind. In addition, 11 athletes will be selected to represent the United
States at the CanAmMex Regatta being held July 10-16 in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The “Junior
A” camp is for athletes with birthdates in 1988 (and select 1989 birthdays), while
the “Junior B” camp is for athletes with birthdates in 1989 or 1990.
