NORTH CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
 
Directions to North Catholic High School -

  1. Get on I-279 South towards Pittsburgh
  2. Take exit 2B to merge onto East St toward PA-28 N
  3. Turn left onto E North Ave
  4. Continue onto Spring Garden Ave
  5. Turn right onto Vinial St
  6. Turn left onto Troy Hill Rd
  7. Destination will be on the left

GROVETON BOAT CLUB
 
(Directions From North) -

  1. Take 79 South to Neville Island exit, Exit # 65
  2. Turn left off the exit onto Grand Avenue (follow signs for 51 North)
  3. Follow Grand Avenue (past Sports Complex on the right) over the bridge; there are two right hand lanes going over the bridge; stay left
  4. Turn right at the end of the bridge (all traffic must turn right)
  5. Make first left at the Montour Hotel
  6. Make next left onto 5th Avenue (you will follow signs to 79 and Yellow Belt)
  7. 5th Avenue changes name to State Avenue. Stay on State until you see the 79 overpass and signs for the 79 entrance
  8. Turn left onto Station Street (this is just before the overpass and just across from the entrance to 79 South); you will see a sign on the left for Boat Dock
  9. Bear left (turn west/down river) before going under 79 bridge
  10. Slowly continue to follow Boat Dock signs that wind you down toward the river
  11. Cross (carefully!) over the railroad tracks
  12. When you come to a T-intersection, turn left, following signs to Groveton Boat Club

(Directions From Pittsburgh) -

  1. Take Fort Pitt Bridge towards airport.
  2. Continue on I-279 for 5.5 miles
  3. Merge onto I-79 North exit towards Erie- go 5.8 miles
  4. Take the PA-51 Coraopolis exit
  5. Turn left onto Coraoplolis Road, go 0.3 miles
  6. Turn Right onto Station Street.
  7. Turn left at next road.
  8. Slowly continue to follow the Boat Dock signs that wind you down towards the river
  9. Cross (carefully!) over the railroad tracks
  10. When you come to the T – intersection, turn left, following signs to Groveton Boat Club

HEAD OF THE OHIO
 
The Head Of The Ohio takes place on the Ohio River on the North Shore, Downtown Pittsburgh. Go to the area between PNC Park and Heinz Field, and look for the tent with the North Allegheny flag.

AMERICAN HERITAGE RIVER FALL CLASSIC (Wyandotte, MI)
 
For Hotel:

  1. Take PA Turnpike/I-76 West to I-80 West.
  2. Merge onto I-280 North at Exit #71 / 5.
  3. Take I-75 North toward Detroit.
  4. Take Allen Road Exit #37 toward Northline Road.
  5. Turn Left onto Allen Road. Turn Right onto Northline Road.


For Wyandotte Boat Club:

  1. Take I-75 to Northline Exit #36 (make right off of exit);
  2. Proceed East on Northline road to Biddle Avenue (you will pass Dix Road and Fort Street).
  3. Turn right on Biddle Avenue and travel South through downtown Wyandotte. One block past Eureka Road, turn left to the river. This is Pine Street (Portofino Restaurant on the left corner). Boat club is immediately on the right.

MARSHALL MIDDLE SCHOOL
 
From Pittsburgh:

  1. Take I-79 north to Wexford, Route 910.
  2. Turn right onto Route 910 East (the Orange Belt).
  3. Proceed through next traffic light (Brandt School Road) and make the next left onto Mingo Road (sign for Windwood Racquet Club at the corner).
  4. Make the first right onto Neely School Road and follow it to the end.
  5. At the end, make a right onto Wexford Run Road and then a quick left into the Marshall Complex.
  6. The middle school will be on your left.
  7. The event will be held in the middle school gymnasium. The gym is located on the far end of the school. Directional signs will be in place.


From the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

  1. Get off the Turnpike at Exit 3, Route 19.
  2. Go South on Route 19 for just over two miles.
  3. At the traffic light at Shenot Road, make a right.
  4. Stay on Shenot Road all the way to the stop sign at Wexford Run Road.
  5. At the stop sign, turn right onto Wexford Run Road. You will climb a hill and come to the Marshall Complex just before the bridge.
  6. Turn right into the Marshall Complex. The middle school will be on your left.
  7. The event will be held in the middle school gymnasium. The gym is located on the far end of the school. Directional signs will be in place.

McKNIGHT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
 
From I-79:

  1. Take I-79 north to Wexford, Route 910.
  2. Turn right onto Route 910 East (the Orange Belt).
  3. Take 910 E to 19 South
  4. Follow 19 South to McKnight Road
  5. Follow McKnight for about 1.5 miles
  6. Turn right on Cumberland Rd.
  7. McKnight Elementary is the first school on the left at bottom of hill.


From McKnight Road:

  1. Go North on McKnight past all the malls. Pass Duncan Ave on right.
  2. Turn Left at next light (Cumberland Rd)
  3. McKnight Elementary is the first school on the left at bottom of hill.


From the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

  1. Get off the Turnpike at Exit 3, Route 19.
  2. See directions above from I-79.

JACK SPEAKMON MEMORIAL REGATTA
 
  1. Travel I-79 South to I-70 West to Columbus
  2. Take I-270 South to Exit 13A towards, Upper Arlington/Fishinger Rd
  3. Merge onto Cemetery Rd.


For hotel, stay straight to go to Fishinger Blvd. Turn right onto Park Mill Run Rd.

For race site, continue on Fishinger Rd to Riverside Dr. (first light After crossing river), turn right. Follow parking signs. Shuttle buses Will take you to the race site. There is a \$3.00 parking fee.

MANNY FLICK (PHILADELPHIA)
 
  1. Follow PA Turnpike (I-76) to Valley Forge/King of Prussia.
  2. Follow I-76 East, Schuylkill Expressway.
  3. Exit to the left at exit 340A (Lincoln Dr/Kelly Dr.).
  4. Staying left, follow signs to Kelly Dr.
  5. Continue following signs to KELLY DR. Ramp will spiral downward in a counter-clockwise direction.
  6. Move to right lane of Kelly Dr. for 1 mile to CANOE CLUB on right.

MERCER LAKE SPRINTS / ISA SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIPS (Princeton NJ)
 
From Route 1 North or South

  1. Exit at Quaker Bridge Rd. (South)
  2. Follow Quaker Bridge Rd. (South) for about one miles (large mall on right)
  3. Go over Railroad Bridge, stay in left lane for about 1/2 mile
  4. Make left on Hughes Road (a nursery is on the left side of road just after turn)
  5. Follow Hughes Rd. for about 1/2 miles
  6. Make left into Mercer Lake Park
  7. Follow Park Rd. for about 1 mile and follow signs for general and trailer parking
From North on Route 206

  1. Route 206 into Princeton
  2. Left at traffic light by Borough Municipal Building onto Nassau Street
  3. Go 3 traffic lights to Washington Road
  4. Washington Road to U.S. Route 1 South
  5. Use above directions for "From North and South via U.S. 1"

PITTSBURGH SCHOLASTIC SPRINTS, MORAINE STATE PARK (LAKE ARTHUR)
 
  1. Take I-79 North to Exit 96.
  2. Turn right onto PA Route 488.
  3. Take second left and follow to Moraine State Park, South Shore and Pleasant Valley. There should be Regatta signs pointing the way.
  4. As you enter the park, continue to travel straight until you see the parked shell trailers. There will be a North Allegheny tent set up on the grass.

STEEL CITY ROWING (Verona PA)
 
Directions from Turnpike:

  1. Take turnpike in Cranberry, go East to exit 48 (Allegheny Valley)
  2. After you pay toll, get in right lane and exit towards Harmarville (ramp puts you onto Freeport Road heading south)
  3. You are in Harmarville. Go through a few lights.....(you will pass the Holiday Inn)
  4. Then you will make a left onto Hulton Bridge.
  5. At the end of the bridge, you are in Oakmont.


Or

Directions from Rt 910:

  1. Take 910 East; cross Rt 8 and continue until it ends at Harmarville
  2. Turn right onto Freeport Road heading south
  3. Go through a few lights.....(you will pass the Holiday Inn)
  4. Then you will make a left onto Hulton Bridge.
  5. At the end of the bridge, you are in Oakmont.


Continuing from here, if you are in a car, you can go the easy way:

You will pass a high school and then cross over the train tracks. The next street, make a right onto Allegheny River Boulevard.

If you have the trailer, you must go this way:

  1. You will pass a high school and then make a right onto Allegheny Avenue. There is construction on the right hand side corner. There is a people path on the other side of the road. You will go many blocks. When you see a Subway on your right, you will turn left for one block and then a quick right onto Allegheny River Boulevard.
  2. Stay on Allegheny River Boulevard until you get into Verona (you will go over a small bridge and then get to your first traffic light). You will go through 2 lights. The next street has no light or stop sign, but you will make a right onto James Street. Go over the train tracks and to the end of the road. Make a left onto Penn Street. Go to end. Make a right onto Sheridan. Go to end (one block) and make a left onto Arch Street. The boathouse is at the end of Arch Street.

THREE RIVERS ROWING ASSOCIATION (Washington's Landing, Pittsburgh PA)
 
  1. Take 279 South to Rt. 28 North / East Street exit.
  2. Follow signs for Rt. 28 North.
  3. Once you are on Rt. 28 North, turn right at the first intersection - 31st Street Bridge.
  4. Make a quick right down the ramp, and then a quick left onto Waterfront Drive.
  5. You will cross a small bridge onto Herr's Island (also known as Washington's Landing). The Three Rivers Rowing Center is the third building on the left (300 Waterfront Drive).

THREE RIVERS ROWING ASSOCIATION TANKS (Millvale Boat House)
 
From Route 28N

  1. Take exit 3 Millvale
  2. Keep left, go under Rt 28 South overpass (the turnoff for the boathouse is at the bottom of this ramp)
  3. Take a quick left at the white sign for MILLVALE RIVER FRONT PARK (This will be before the ramp leading you back to Route 28 North)
  4. Go across Railroad tracks, and turn right after you go under the railroad overpass. The boathouse is the last building on this road, so you will go past the Skate Park, and the roadworks building before you get there.
