Head of the Ohio a Wet and Wild Ride for Tiger Rowers

Saturday, October 4, 2003

NA’s Tiger Rowers took on the rain, wind and chill of Saturday, October 4 and turned in medal-winning performances at the Head of the Ohio Regatta.  “HOTO”, held in downtown Pittsburgh, is a major fall race that attracts high school, college and club teams from across the eastern and mid-western United States as well as Canada.  A total of 97 teams contributed to the intense competition at this year’s regatta.

The Tigers brought home a total of six medals – 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.  They also scored 9 other top-ten finishes.  NA’s total team points tied for second highest among all competing high schools and highest among Western PA teams.
