Tiger Rowers Capture 14 Medals at Speakmon Regatta

North Allegheny’s rowing team turned in another outstanding performance at the Jack Speakmon Memorial Regatta, held Saturday, October 25 in Columbus, Ohio.  The Scioto River bustled with activity from dawn to dusk as 46 high school, college and club teams came together to compete.  At the end of the day, the Tigers had captured an impressive 14 medals, including 5 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze, and had 9 other top-ten finishes.  They compiled the second highest point total of all competing teams and the highest score among all 13 high school teams.  The NA Men’s Eight not only took first place in the high school category, but also posted the fastest course time of the race, defeating all competing college and club teams.
