NA Rowers Successful at US Rowing National Invitationals

 

June 5 & 6, 2004

 

The North Allegheny Men’s Rowing Team capped their already successful spring racing season with another outstanding showing.  The NA Men’s Junior Quad of Michael Ban, Singen Elliott, Jordan Ellis, and Tim Francis took a silver medal at the prestigious US Rowing National Youth Invitational Regatta, held in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 5^th and 6th. 

 

A total of 86 high school teams participated in the two-day event, including crews from Florida, Illinois, Texas, California and Washington DC.  In order to be invited, rowers had to have captured a first or second-place finish in their respective regional regattas this spring.  NA competes in the Midwest Region.

 

NA’s other two boats, the Men’s Junior Double (Ryan Moravec and Dave Reynolds) and the Men’s Junior Quad B (Joe Brendel, Greg Domville, Andrew Kaiser and Pete Unkovic), both placed second in their petite finals, ranking them each 8^th overall in their categories.
