NA Dominates Sculling Events at Speakmon Regatta

When NA’s Tiger
Rowers departed from the Griggs Reservoir at the end of Saturday’s Speakmon Memorial
Regatta, they took home an impressive 14 medals – 5 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze. NA continued its domination in sculling events,
capturing 5 of the available 8 gold medals, adding silvers in 2 more, and sweeping the
medals in the Open Women’s Quads.
The regatta, run in
head race format over a 2.8 mile course in Columbus, Ohio, attracted 40 college, high
school and club teams, with over 400 boats competing in 45 race events.
The Tigers close out
their fall racing season next weekend at the Head of the Occoquan in Lorton, Virginia.
