NA Rowers Capture Six Medals at Midwest Championships

Saturday, May 12 & Sunday, May 13, 2007

North Allegheny’s Tiger Rowers took to the water against 50 other high school teams to take gold medals in three events at the 2007 Midwest Scholastic Championships.  In addition, they earned one silver and two bronze medals.  NA placed 12 of its 21 boats into finals.

The event, featuring teams from seven states, was held at Harsha Lake in East Fork State Park near Cincinnati, Ohio.  NA successfully defended its winning positions in both the men’s and women’s Quad events, taking gold for the sixth straight year for the men and for the fourth straight year for the women.

Next weekend the Tigers will complete their regular spring season at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta in Philadelphia.
