NA Tigers Row Strong at First Fall Regatta

Sunday, September 30, 2007

North Allegheny’s rowers kicked off their fall racing season at the Kings Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in King of Prussia, PA this past weekend.  They captured a total of 11 medals – 4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.  It was the team’s first appearance at this early fall event  in the Philadelphia-area, where they joined 42 other teams from seven states to compete in both sweep and sculling events.  In addition to standard rowing events, the Kings Head schedule gave the Tigers a chance to participate in non-standard races such as mixed male/female and parent/child events.

Come cheer on the Tigers this weekend as they compete in Pittsburgh at the Head of the Ohio.  The day’s events are free and parking is available at Heinz Field on the North Side.
